These are the perfect gift for young children in the lead up to Christmas. If you have not had a Lego advent calendar in the past, give it a go you will not regret it! So many unique little builds and minifigs that aren’t available anywhere else, are often included. The kids just love them and have so much fun finding out what they’re adding to their collection each day. I would love to get the Harry Potter one too, but maybe next time! These sets are extremely popular in the lead up to Christmas and often sell out, so getting them now is a perfect way to secure them and have them in hand ready for when the countdown starts - be organised and enjoy a discount! Win:win!

This year’s City Advent Calendar is seriously repetitive of other years. We were especially disappointed by the final day, opening the SAME Santa as last year (if not the year before, etc). Also a distinct lack of minifigures and the snowman just seems to be a mishmash of random parts, without even a proper head. Even with the 30% discount as we purchased this after Dec 1st, it seems a let down. The 2-part sleigh and Mrs Santa were the only real reasons we bought it this year and a couple of the days’ builds (like the grandfather clock and ice sculpture) do seem worth it, and we really like the ice hockey player figure too, but that’s about it. In short, LEGO seriously need to switch things up next time around!

Very disappointed with this - not sure if it was just poor quality from Ocado,or if this is how all of the lego advent calendars are,but the calendar doesn't have perforated doors,so you aren't able to open them on each day without taking some scissors to massacre the box. In addition,the box had obviously been plced in the wrong way and so even after said massacre,the lego was still not accessible,without me manually turning it around. Each day's mini lego toy doesn't have instructions / what it is intended to be,so for the average little boy it is very difficult to guide what they are trying to make! Bit of a hit and miss. Very disappointed with this purchase,even though he is still excited about the lego.

Purchased this for my son and I've been pleasantly surprised with the amount of lego you get each day. He's so excited to open a door each morning, and certainly more healthy than a chocolate one! Once Christmas is over he will have plenty of new characters & accessories to play with his other lego. Just be careful opening the doors as you can easily pop open the wrong day as they are particularly easy to open!
