I haven’t bought a Lego kit in a while and wow have they changed. This kit has a lot of small pieces of different shapes and sizes. Many were not blocks like I remember in my childhood, but were hinges and other random pieces of plastic. This kit can make one of three different designs at a time. The shapes provided allow for more unique designs. I was initially a little confused and thought I could make three designs at once in the kit, but the parts for one design are actually used for other designs. We really liked the designs and it was a challenging but rewarding project. You get to test your ability to follow directions if needed. Since they can only make 3 designs, and the prices are so unique to the design I was a little disappointed that they really couldn’t be used to create creative designs of the users choosing. However, if you are looking for a 3D puzzle to do, this is a good choice and has creative designs to assemble.

I got this for my kiddo’s birthday as she requested. This Sea Animals set is recommended for 8!years old and up. My little just turned 6. It’s 421 pieces set. It took my kiddo a bit longer to build but it’s so worth it. It features 2 fish, a turtle, a jellyfish and a seahorse toy displayed on transparent rods as part of a seafloor stand adorned with sea plants, plus a red crab figure. The sea creature toys can swap positions on the stand, which can be straightened or angled. Every little pieces is full of colorful detail and so so beautiful.

Just got into building this past month. This is my favorite set thus far. The creatures are adorable. The build is intricate enough to hold your attention but doesn't feel tedious. It wasn't a super quick build like the few others have felt. It was a satisfying experience. I'll definitely buy a second one of these.
