We really had lots of fun opening a new box every day. My 6 year old was quickly up and dressed to have those few minutes before the prescool to play with the new toy together with the ones from previous days. We only had some of troubles with the box they are in. First we opened the wrong end and all the toys almost fell out. I had a tricky situation putting it all back (there are no “open here” markings, just 4 identical sticky tapes. And you need to cut just the right 2 of them).
The other problem with the box is that it is so thin that it wobbles as she opens the doors and takes the new toys out (we have had some toys fall down to the lower box and we have been quite careful here), she also likes to put them back in and take out again and that is also risky as they easilly slide down to the lower levels.
All in all a great lego set, but the box is just too thin. Lets figure a better way to save the world rather than packaging of something that needs to last 24 days of daily play!

I buy a LOT of Legos. Used to pretend they were for my kids. 😁 My only disappointment with this advent is the cardboard parts used to have fold out sections and be more 3 dimensional. For those reviewers saying there aren’t instructions; there is an easy to read instruction inside the door of each day. For those who noted that the instructions don’t match the pieces, just slide the tray out and turn the pieces so they line up with the correct instructions. I caught that the first day. Don’t just complain, fix it. 😁

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. We love and collect advent calendars in our house! We have about ten at the moment! But what we did not have and always wanted, was a Lego Advent calendar, since we all also love Legos! This set is absolutely adorable, and my kids are so excited! I love that the box itself has the little punch out windows for them to find each daily prize. This is going to be something we reuse year after year, and even pass down to the grandkids. We have three boys and a girl, and even though Lego Friends is a bit more for girls, they still love this. Santa is a bit skinny, I will say! I would definitely recommend this Lego Advent calendar! It would be a great gift for any family.

This is my first experience with a Lego Advent Calendar, so I was quite excited to get started…only to find that there appeared to be no instructions. I thought this to be quite strange as Lego is very much a company that obsesses over even the smallest of details. On day 6 I finally realized that the instructions are on the back of the door you open for each day. In the future, perhaps the box could make some indication pointing to where the instructions can found. Other than this, it has been enjoyable and I’m excited to see what the next days will bring.
