As someone who commutes a lot and needs to stay focused during the day, the noise cancellation on these has been a game changer for me. The 2x improvement over the previous model is extremely noticeable, as i can now hear dramatically less background noise when I'm trying to concentrate. Hooking them up to my phone with Bluetooth was simple! Just hold down the button on the back of the case while your phone is searching for a device. What I wasn't expecting was that upon hooking them up to my phone with Bluetooth, without even being on a call yet, the noise cancellation was activated.. I never realized how loud the world was before I had these. But they didn't make everything so silent that you are not completely aware of your surroundings, thanks to transparency mode which you can easily switch in or out of. It's useful when I'm walking through a busy city street or while I'm at home with my kids so that I can hear any nearby conversations, traffic noises, announcements, or people speaking to you, without having to constantly take the earbuds out! I don't feel isolated from my environment this way. Needless to say, the audio quality while in call, or listening to music is flawless. It's been a while since I've been able to actually hear the other caller or music with such clarity, and the caller could hear me perfectly too thanks to the personalized spatial audio and volume adjustments that really tailored the experience to my preferences. I love how immersed I feel in my music and podcasts. The comfortable silicone tips also help keep the AirPods securely in my ears while doing chores at home or during workouts. I will admit that at first I wasn't sure if they would actually stay in my ear the whole time without slipping out, because regardless of which size tip I put in (they include 3 different sized silicone tips), it just felt like it wasn't going to hold, but to my surprise it held quite well without me having to constantly push it back in. As for the battery life, I can get up to 6 hours of use with the noise cancellation feature on, versus the 4.5 hours of the previous model. And the MagSafe charging case extends that to a total of 24 hours, so I rarely have to worry about running out of battery. As a frequent earbud user, the upgrades in these 2nd generation AirPods Pro have been nothing short of amazing! The noise cancellation, transparency, and audio customization features make them a pleasure to use in all the settings of my busy life. For maximum possible use, you need to have an iPhone or Macbook, and update to OS version 18 and 15 respectively. The modes work great: sound isolation, transparent and adaptive. If you choose the "Transparency" mode and activate the "Conversation Awareness" mode, you will not have to turn off or stop the sound to answer a question from another person. indeed, the sound decreases automatically as soon as the microphone hears your voice. To get the maximum effect from the sound, I recommend taking the "Hearing Test". After activating the test result, you will be able to improve the incoming sound (both for media content and during a conversation with the interlocutor in the "Transparency" mode). This is almost an automatic equalizer. The sound is already good, but after these settings it is even better.
You can also use headphones as "Hearing aids". But headphones cannot yet replace full-fledged professional Hearing aids. There is extra noise, sometimes you can hear a little whistling, and the quality of the transmitted sound is worse than professional ones. As a temporary solution, you can use. For example, for a walk in changeable weather, or going to the store, for sports in the gym, or on the street. Real hearing aids are afraid of moisture and dust, and they are very expensive. AirPods 2 are cheaper, better protected and help solve hearing problems in people with such defects in more difficult conditions.

I should preface this review by saying that I am a professional 'classical' musician who has begun to develop some age-related hearing loss, mostly in my right ear. I have had hearing aids for 3 years but hardly ever use them because they tickle my ears and the batteries hardly last any time.

I bought the Airpods because they are excellent for those with mild hearing issues such as mine but I had no idea just how effective they would prove to be. The 3 modes of Noise Cancellation, Adaptive and Transparency are further enhanced through the Accessibility menus on iOS devices. Through these you can modify the response of the Airpods to match your own hearing anomalies. There are plenty of online videos describing the more advanced functions in relation to hearing issues.

When it comes to music, it's the first time I've fully appreciated the virtues of Dolby Atmos and the Airpods are generally very good when partnered with apps such as Apple Music. I have to admit that listening to Elton John's Rocket man in the Atmos version actually drew tears at the 1 minute mark. Quite remarkable for me as hardened pro!

All in all I now regard these as indispensable. Great for music, fantastic for mild hearing loss, amazing at completely eliminating noise in any busy location and, all the while, people around you will think you're just listening to music which is an asset for a pro musician when others might wrongly suggest your time is up!

-As with apple products that are new they work great I love the added on features such as the find my device feature that tells you when you’re getting close to your device if you misplaced it (kind of like the game hot/ cold we played as kids)
-As like the model before I love how it has the rubber ear adjustment piece that makes it more comfortable to wear (I forget I have them on) and they also send you additional sizes for your perfect fit (the smaller ones I attach when I want to listen to music but my 6 year wants to watch her iPad in the car)
-I love the small size of ear buds very helpful when i have to take an important call at work my hair covers it right up my boss doesn’t suspect a thing
-Takes type c like my iPhone 15 so I don’t have to worry about fumbling around with separate charger

Con’s
-I wish apple would make it available in other colors
-I hope the models after are waterproof wouldn’t recommend using in rain or showers that’s how my previous pair got damaged over time
-Apple doesn’t offer protection plan for theft and lost ( although I bought these from Walmart I can still go onto the official Apple website and purchase the standard fix %26 replacement protection plan that Apple offers)
Things I recommend
-Buying a good durable protective case that has an attached insert to protect the charging port from being ruined by dust or whatever liquid you may accidentally drop it in and also protect it from being ruined by dropping them (over time after countless drops it will start to damage device) but wouldn’t recommend the rubber one I always end up losing the top piece somehow 🙄
