Conflicted about sizing
Goodvibesonly· Review provided by nordstrom.com · January 7, 2024
First and foremost, this boot is LITERALLY a pain to get your foot into the first time, and a for a couple more times after that. Especially if you size down. Once you get your foot in, the fit is great. So don't size up based on the struggle of getting your foot in the boot, it will get easier after it's broken in. I'm a size 10. Based on conflicting sizing reviews, I wasn't sure what size to order. Ordered a size 10 and a 9. 10 feels good but slightly big, my heel lifts when I walk. Didn't have an issue getting my foot in..in fact the ankle opening looked very wide compared to the 9. I fear it will loosen up more after breaking them in and I don't always want to wear socks with it. I tried a 9 (STRUGGLED to get my foot in) and it feels perfect but my big toe touches the boot in the toe box just a smidge but again, I think about the break in period when the boot molds to my feet. I noticed that my big toe touched more in the right boot vs the left and after wearing for a bit inside, the left felt perfect, yet the right boot still felt like my big toe was touching. (I usually have that issue with my left foot, not the right.. So it was weird) I hate that they don't offer half sizes. A size 9 and a size 10 are big shoe sizes and look very similar in length when compared against the soles and not very flattering to wear when you're only 5'4 but.. it is, what it is. I will say oddly enough the size 9 in these actually didn't make my feet look that big compared to how big my feet looked in the size 10. Seems like the width of the 10 was wider than the 9. I also want to point out that one set of the sand boots had a rough looking suede texture to it while the other looked very smooth and appealing. Both were brand new with no signs of previous wear. I bought sand and black. The black pair felt defective on one of the sides, as if someone forced their foot in so hard that the structure buckled and it feels uncomfortable and noticeable when I walk in them. For sure size down if you're a half size wearer or in between sizes. Stay true to size if you're planning on wearing socks or have a wide foot. Size down a whole size if you don't plan on wearing socks or have narrow feet.

I went back and forth for a hot minute trying to decide what size to order - I have some Classic Uggs that are almost 20 years old, and back then the rule was to size down! I normally wear a size 7, and all my old Uggs are a size 6 and still fit great with or without socks. I read A LOT of reviews for the new minis, and ultimately decided to order one size down like before. As a brand new pair they fit perfect without socks. I know they will stretch with wear and eventually will be comfortable with socks, I believe that timeframe depends on how often I wear them. The most common thing I read in the reviews is how difficult it is to get them on, and on my first attempt I did struggle quite a bit but managed to get them on, but immediately ordered a shoe horn - which was the right idea! I can get them on easily with a shoe horn. This difficulty will also ease with time & wear. Overall I absolutely love the mini Uggs and am happy with the size I got. The official website recommends sizing down and I would recommend the same unless you plan to wear socks every single time and are good with them becoming a little roomy over time. Also recommend using a shoe horn. This was my first time shopping on StockX and it was a good experience. I wanted this specific color (sand) and it was only available second hand, so it made me feel more comfortable knowing that they were being verified as authentic through a company willing to take that responsibility - which you take that risk purchasing second hand elsewhere.

I’ve had the classic mini platform and I love them, I bought another pair! I have the original Ultra mini (not platform) as well. But for some reason these Ultra mini come in slightly larger. Also it’s important to consider they’re a little harder to put on than the classic mini, I think maybe those give you room to tug and pull up, if that makes sense? Also size down. I’m a regular width size 6 and I’ve had to size down to 5. Keep in mind they stretch in time. If you’re buying to keep warm? I suggest you buy the classic mini (regular or platform) they cover up above the ankle. Cozier.✌
Cute But Lacking Quality Compared to Classic Uggs

Cute, but not worth the price with the fake shearling. It gets flattened and worn looking fast and looks cheap. It’s also not as comfortable and makes your feet sweat more than genuine shearling. The exterior leather is also a lot rougher and stiff than my classic Uggs. These boots are pretty much just a trendy purchase and won’t last long. A knockoff from TikTok would probably be better. Love the classic Uggs with real shearling though, they last forever.
