3rd Party Seller - Came Used - Japan Version?

December 5, 2024Well, I am a bit disappointed tbh. The switch box was placed into a fedex bubble mailer, so the box is all smashed up, and the box wasn't even sealed. It was clearly all opened up and used before, and the plastic had already been removed from the console itself, also I think this is the japan version as the box has japanese characters all over it that I did not remember seeing when I bought my wife one a couple years ago. The reason I ended up buying it from this listing is because I thought there was a cyber Monday deal going on and that's why the price was 184 and not 199, apparently that is just because it was an open box used one, that was not stated on the listing. I'm going to return it and go find a brand new one and just pay the extra 15 bucks. Buying used tech is sketchy because someone else likely had an issue with this one, sent it back and the company "fixed" it, but that means it's probably been opened up and anyone who knows tech knows that once you open up something from the factory, it's never the same and prone to premature failure.
If anyone from the company is reading this, you should really set expectations and not do business this way. Cutting corners is never a sustainable business model. I could probably let this go if I was aware of what I was going to be receiving from the get-go and was given a more fair price, but I was deceived and it's not brand new, the box is damaged, opened and the console has been clearly used. The listing says new, and it was priced nearly as such, so that's false advertising. It's the principle.
If anyone from Walmart sees this, you really need to vet your sellers better. People are treating your market place like a joke.

November 9, 2024I was so sick of my child being sucked into all of the ads that come with any games you can get on the App Store. My friend suggested the Nintendo Switch Lite and we haven’t looked back. The battery life is outstanding and it can also be charged with a normal USB-C cable which makes it very convenient. The console itself is extremely light and durable. I have seen my son drop it from counter height and there isn’t a scratch on it. Now, the important part. I feel like the games still have that innocence that children’s video games should have. There is the biggest array of age appropriate games on the market. Pokémon, Zelda, and Mario just to name a few. My son is currently playing Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and he says it is the best game he has ever played. For travel, you can’t be the Nintendo Switch Lite. It fits in nearly any bag and works flawlessly with most hotel WiFi. The user friendly, kid friendly, aspects of this console truly set it apart when so many worries lurk around every corner in this digital age! 10/10 would recommend if you’re looking for a safe outlet for your child!
[Rewarded Review] I actually love it!

November 7, 2024I honestly only bought this because I'm a sucker for gold Zelda-themed consoles and peripherals. I had no previous interest in the Switch Lite and considered it to be totally redundant to the original Switch.
I was really pleasantly surprised right out the box, though. Firstly, it's gorgeous. It looks even better in person than it does in photos. It's also really nice, compact, slim, and lightweight, and actually feels much more comfortable in your hands than the original Switch does, which makes it an unexpectedly wonderful portable option.
On top of all that, it's very easy to connect to your Nintendo ID and have immediate access to every game download you've every purchased through the eShop, as well as all of your save data (as long as you're a Switch Online subscriber). Just get yourself a microSD card for game storage, as the Lite only comes with the usual 32GB of onboard storage, and you are off and running.
All around, I don't think I could be happier. The Hyrule Edition Switch Lite is gorgeous to look at, easy to use, and fun to play. Highly recommended!
[Rewarded Review] Very beautiful, acrylic display is delicate though

September 26, 2024I only had the original Switch, so this is my second Switch system. This one is beautiful, and the material on the back actually feels different, like it won't get greasy from my hands? I ordered a clear case to preserve the design, but this console is designed pretty well. My fingers used to get sweaty on my original Switch because i tused to get hot from playing handheld for a while. I'm excited to finally have a Switch Lite.
My order came with the acrylic stand bonus, but I accidentally broke it (see pics). I have gotten acrylic stands from other videogame preorders, but the back is thinner than usual for the backdrop. I managed to fix it with scotch tape lol.
The console works great. It is much lighter than the original. It feels like plastic in a good way, compared to the original Switch being heavier due to the glass. I linked my Nintendo account from my main Switch, and I can download save data from my other account.
